Somnia Osbrain Foundation LBG, formerly Osbrain Cares Foundation, is dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities, especially young mothers and girls in the Volta Region, Ghana. The foundation uses the Community Empowerment Series (CES) to identify at-risk girls by engaging with marginalized communities, including the Bame community.
Through CES, the foundation listens to the girls' experiences and challenges, fostering open dialogue to understand their unique needs. Together with the girls, the foundation co-develops tailored programs, such as the After-school Fashion Design and Technology Program, to address issues like teenage pregnancy, education, and gender inequality. This collaborative, human-centered, and girl-centred approach empowers girls as change-makers, helping to break cycles of poverty and create a more equitable society.
