President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appears to be already attracting some ‘heat’ following a video that captured him seemingly avoiding former President John Dramani Mahama at a high-profiled meeting on Wednesday.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) reacting to the trending video, has described the President’s actions as unnecessary and rather petty.

Both personalities were invited guests at the maiden edition of the Kofi Annan Peace and Security Forum with the President as the Guest Speaker and the Former President, a panel member.

The video making waves on social media shows Akufo-Addo shaking hands with dignitaries but serving the Former President with a rather brief handshake.

While many Ghanaians are already reacting to the development, the National Democratic Congress took to Twitter to express their disappointment.

“A certain level of maturity required of a leader is missing on the part of Akufo-Addo. A president ought not be this petty”, a tweet from the party’s official page read.

Meanwhile, social media is swamped with many reactions from Ghanaians.
