Ace Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has sworn to make the horrid murder of his counterpart, Ahmed Hussein-Suale not go in vain; the team will honor his memory with the biggest story that will hit the world.
‘A grand-style honor’ as he termed it, is the least the team can do for their beloved departed member, to among other things, respect his memory and sustain the spirit of the people.
Ahmed, who was the pioneer of Anas Number 12 expose, was shot dead by some unknown assailants at Madina a few weeks ago.
His death sent shock waves through Ghana and has brought about fear among some journalists.
In an interview with international news agency, Deutsche Welle, Anas said the team will stop at nothing till they revive the spirit of the people and the hope and zeal to ensure a safe and great country and continent.
“We have to honor him and we will honor him in grand style with a good enough story that will shake the foundations of the nations. So if you take away one Anas as has just happened, you haven’t taken away the spirit of the people. I encourage everybody to stay focused, there’s a lot to be done to make this country safe, to make Africa better”.
The ace journalist was more resolved to fight for journalism and truth telling to ensure that Ahmed has a contented rest and journalists are unrestricted in the dispensation of their duties.
“Wherever he is, he is watching us and he will be very disappointed if we decide to give up. The way he was shot, it means you are not free, I am not free. No other journalist is free.
"You can take away one of us, but you can't take away the spirit of the people."
