Akufo-Addo is ‘Idi Amin’ of our time - Akamba

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo has been described as a dictator by National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba.

Our Manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in Mr. Akamba is admonishing Ghanaians not to vote for Akufo-Addo in 2020 because he is a despot who doesn’t care about the welfare of the citizens.

“President Akufo-Addo is gradually becoming a tyrant in the League of Idi Amin,” he said.

“We have elected a dictator. That is what we have set up in the constitution. There is no difference between him and the military leaders. Ghanaians must vote against him massively,” Mr. Akamba stressed.

Some leaders including Adolf Hitler and others did not begin as despots but, "it is their people around them who fan their egos and created despots out of them…Let us not allow Nana Akufo-Addo to become a despot, it will not help anybody.’’

A despot is a ruler or other person who holds absolute power, typically one who exercises it in a cruel or oppressive way. YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Cable TV service provider, DSTV, has announced that it would adjust its prices on all of its subscription from November 1, 2019.

This decision according to its management follows the increase in the Communication Service Tax (CST) by the government.
