The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has praised President Akufo-Addo for emerging as Africa’s best President.
Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo was named as Africa’s best president by a Canadian-based research organisation ''Leaders of tomorrow''. The latest feat conferred on him was realized after a poll.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako noted that it never came to him a surprise when he heard and read news about President Akufo-Addo being extolled as Africa’s best President. According to him the scripture in Exodus 14: 14 which states that "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" best describes God's plan and hand on President Akufo-Addo.
In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, the Ashanti Regional Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that President Akufo-Addo gives his best when it comes to governance and could easily relate his achievement to football greats such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi who are always hungry for success on the football field.
“Just to let the world know this about President Akufo-Addo, he is like a combination of Messi and Ronaldo. He never sleeps on the job and is always hungry for success. He wants the best for Ghana and Africa at large. Being rated the best in Africa is a remarkable achievement and I want to thank God for helping him to achieve this feat”, he said.
Releasing the best and outstanding list of 2018 presidents in Africa, Ghana's President Akufo-Addo emerged top of the list.
This follows a similar research conducted by US-based think tank, World Vision Forum which placed President Akufo-Addo 1st on the list in Africa and 3rd in the world of best presidents with vision.
The Canadian research team, ‘‘Leaders of tomorrow’’, believes since Nana Akufo-Addo won the 2016 elections, he has been the man of the people with high approval rating because for his positive policies such as the free secondary education, Planting for Food and Jobs, I District 1 Dam, NAPCO, among others.
Also - his commitment to the development of Ghana, the near absence of corruption allegations under his regime and his government's respect of the rule of law are some of the reasons attributed to his win.
