In all, 18 persons were hospitalized at the University Hospital, Legon.
There were earlier reports that only six persons were injured.

The Ghana Police Service had rejected media reports that two people died as a result of the violence.
During the elections, the home of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Delali Kwasi Brempong was besieged by operatives of the national security.
This led to the exchange of gun shots.
Another incident at the La Bawaleshie Presbyterian Basic 1 School led to the disruption of the exercise.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu, has since called for immediate investigations into the incident.
