President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been asked to rein in Assin Central lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong over his allegations against investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
“I think the president can also call [Ken Agyapong] in and ask, ‘What do you have against Anas?’”
This piece of advice was given by Kwame Jantuah, a panellist on TV3’s New Day, on Saturday.
The Convention People’s Party (CPP) member said Mr Agyapong should come clear if he has evidence against Anas.
The Assin North Member of Parliament has gone on a verbal spree against the award-winning investigative journalist over his latest exposé.
The exposé, which is expected to be premiered on Wednesday, June 6, is centred around Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The documentary is titled ‘Number 12: When Misconduct & Greed Become the Norm’.
But since excerpts of the documentary triggered a presidential complaint to the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Mr Agyapong has attacked Anas Aremeyaw Anas to the extent of releasing ‘pictures’ of him.
He has also threatened to release a video titled ‘Who Watches the Watchman?’ to expose the journalist.
