More than twelve hours after nearly 70 Ghanaians died in a gory accident on the Techiman-Kintampo road in the Bono East Region on Friday, both President Akufo-Addo and ex-President Mahama who’s seeking a come back to power are yet to issue a statement on the fatal incident.

Ghanaians are expecting official statements or comments expressing condolences from these two leaders just as they did to the peoples of Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique regarding Cyclone Idai.

A check on the Facebook wall of President Akufo-Addo, shows that his latest post was a Video on an End-of-year of WASSA of the Ghana Armed Forces.

In an earlier post, he ironically sent messages of condolence to the peoples of Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique following the devastation caused by the tropical cyclone, Idai.

A check on ex-President Mahama’s Facebook wall also showed that his last post was on the same Cyclone Idai.

Eyewitnesses say moments after road crash on Friday, one of the buses caught fire burning the passengers beyond recognition with several others seriously injured.

Health officials say at least 28 people are currently receiving treatment at health facilities around Kintampo.
