I paid GHC5000 to 37 Military Hospital on behalf of Ishau Yaro - Lydia Alhassan shows proof

Newly sworn-in Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan has refuted reports suggesting that she did not in anyway donate money to Ishau Yaro, a victim of assult of the January 31, shooting incident.

Family members of the said victim publicly denied that the new MP truly donated money for the upkeep of their beloved thereby praising the NDC for footing all his medical bills.

However, a receipt of evidence copied to Ghanaweb shows the MP paid GHC5000 imprest to the 37 Military hospital on behalf of Mr Yaro.

The receipt was dated 6th February 2019.

According to reports, doctors say the victim is on the verge of losing one of his legs.

In addition to the money presentation, madam Alhassan promised to take full responsibility of the patient till he fully recovers.

"I made a cash deposit to take care of his medical bills and upkeep. I also assured him of any further support he might require to bounce back to good health’’, Her post read

Her post on Facebook also indicated that she was accompanied by some NPP officials including Sammy Awuku, Hon Pius Hadidze, and Ebenezer Gilbert Nii Narh Nartey who were witnesses to the donation.
