The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has vowed to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka.

Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi, believes that the hard work the elephant family has done in the constituency coupled with the strategies they are implementing will clinch the seat from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), promising that he would resign his post if Muntaka does not fall.

“If we don’t win the Asawase seat I will resign. What we did to Oteng Adjei should serve as deterrent for all the other political parties”, he noted.

Chairman Wontumi made these remarks in an interaction with Accra-based Okay FM on Tuesday. He was responding to Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s ongoing campaign tour in the Ashanti Region.

Commenting further, the NPP firebrand said the elephant family is poised to winning all the 47 parliamentary seats in the region, insisting that all the four seats currently being occupied by the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be won from them.

“Whatever they do, nothing will stop us from winning all the parliamentary seats in the Ashanti Region”, he stressed.

The NPP currently has 43 seats in the Ashanti Region while the NDC has four seats namely; Ahafo Ano North, New Edubiase, Asawase and Sekyere Afram Plains constituencies.
