A Security Analyst Emmanuel Kutin has slammed what he describes as a hasty decision by the Acting Inspector General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh in the interdiction of the Lakeside Police Station Commander.

DSP Eric Partey Opata has been interdicted for allegedly detaining a suspect for nine days without due process.

In his absence the Adenta Divisional Police Commander, DSP/Mr. Cephas Coffie has been directed to supervise the command till further notice

But speaking on ‘Alert’ show with Adam Bonaa on Starr FM, Emmanuel Kutin criticized the interdiction by the Acting IGP.

“I think he’s too much in a hurry to impress people, he was the deputy IGP and had a good platform to ensure that his boss succeeded. He had made several profound statements that he’ll listen to both the junior and senior officers. Does it mean that his boss was not giving the platform of same? It creates a certain scenario.”

“Should it take the IGP to interdict an officer when the Regional Commander whom these commanders report to is there, are we not undermining the system. To me, like I mentioned he’s too much in a hurry to impress and he should put it in his mind that he’s a guardian angel,” Emmanuel Kutin added
