Controversial musician Kwame Asare Obeng known in showbiz as A Plus has asked the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to invite the Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser of the NPP Kwame Baffoe also known as Abronye DC to give evidence for the corruption allegations he leveled against the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh.

Kwame Baffoe in a petition sent to President Nana Akufo-Addo alleged that the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister is engaging in various corrupt activities which makes him unfit to occupy the position as the head of the Regional security council.

He alleged that Mr. Cheremeh has been collecting monies from members of the Dormaa timber market and Techiman timber market which tarnishes his reputation as a minister of the Region.

He cited an occasion where a timber market operator in the region came out boldly to mention that the Regional Minister has collected millions of Ghana cedis from them as bribe.

New Patriotic Party (NPP) sympathizer, A Plus believes Abronye DC must be invited by the CID to give evidence of the allegations just as he was when he accused the two Deputy Chiefs of Staff of being corrupt.

In a Facebook video, Sunday afternoon the musician said “It’s been weeks since Brong Ahafo Regional Minister was accused of being corrupt and Ghana is very quiet and nobody is talking. Nobody has asked anybody to go to CID. CID has not invited anybody. Ghana is very quiet but Abronye was out there accusing the Regional Minister of being corrupt. So what happened?” he quizzed.

“I have been waiting to hear what will happen. If it’s Kwame A Plus, Ghana will come to a halt” he added.

A Plus believes that there is an agenda to shut him down and the NPP is on agenda not to fight against corruption but to fight against him as a person.

“Until I get to that point where I understand that we have all been treated fairly, nobody can stop me”, he stressed.
