Energy Minister-designate John Abdulai Jinapor has criticised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) over allegations that he traveled to Nigeria on a private jet at the expense of taxpayers.
According to him, these claims are baseless lies propagated by members of the NPP who have failed to learn lessons from their significant electoral defeat.
In a social media post, John Jinapor denied ever traveling to Nigeria in a private jet using public funds, emphasising that he would not engage in such conduct, especially given Ghana's current financial challenges.
His post read, “It seems these NPP minions and propagandists have not learned any lessons from their abysmal and embarrassing 38% defeat.
"For the record, I have not spent even GHS1 of state funds on any trip since my nomination and subsequent vetting. With this attitude, I am confident they are heading for a 28% mark in 2028, if not worse.”
