Outspoken NPP member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong has revealed details of a ‘secret’ arrest that happened at the Swissport Ghana Airport cargo area under Traboulsi Marwan whose contract for Air Cargo the lawmaker is asking the President of Ghana to abrogate.

Swissport Ghana is an equally-owned joint venture company between Swissport International and Ghana Airport Cargo Centre (GACC). GACC is also a joint venture between Air Ghana, a registered Ghanaian Airline and Logistics Company and the Ghana Airports Company, the official operator of all airports and aerodromes in Ghana.

In a tape in possession of MYNEWSGH.com, Mr Kennedy Agyapong said three people, two men and one lady were arrested for possessing unquantified amounts of Methamphetamine, the same drug for which a Ghanaian was hanged in Singapore. Mr Kennedy Agyapong said he was following the development to see what will come out of it.

“I am waiting to see what the officials will say. I’m watching it. Because as I sit back, I am doing my own investigations. I met the experts this afternoon and they briefed me [about the substance]. We are not saying don’t come and invest in Ghana. But you can’t cheat and give us a bad name. It won’t happen under Akufo-Addo. Traboulsi Marwani or whatever his name, it is not going to work. Read my lips.”, he said.

Mr Kennedy Agyapong who doesn’t mince words on such occasions gave further details about the substance.

“That substance every kilo is 5000 cedis but when you do it it becomes 1.5 kilos but when it gets to Japan, one kilo is 200,000 dollars… yes!. So Tullow Oil people should come and explain. Colonel Gaissie, Colonel Opoku, Minister of State (National Security), the police that went there and everything. I’m sniffing around because we will not live in this country and allow this Lebanese or Syrian or whoever, Iranian to take over our country”, he charged.

Continuing he said: “he doesn’t even allow National Security to enter his compound…. And we (NPP) are also allowing it to continue because he is Ex President Rawlings close friend. If it is Rawlings these things happen under him, he will kill him. Even Ghanaians he (Rawlings) killed them, they didn’t even commit the crimes this man is committing. He is Rawlings’ crony, so what? Rawlings My foot!”, he said.

Speaking on his own Oman FM’s boiling point, whose full tape MYNEWSGH.com has, he commended Bryan Acheampong and one Colonel Opoku for their role in the arrest.

Mr Kennedy Agyapong said he has chosen to come public, and all out to expose the ‘secret’ arrest because the lady among the three arrested drug peddlers, whose name he did not mention, tauted him that the drug case will not go anywhere even though they have been arrested.

“They have arrested 3 people, and the lady among them was saying it won’t go anywhere. She should wait and see, If she thinks her father’s government is Akufo-Addo’s government she will see.”, he declared.

He also revealed that the arrested drug peddlers mentioned the name of “Tullow Oil” for a reason that was yet to make sense to him.

“They were using pipes with plywood sealing both ends at the Swissport international (at KIA) they removed 9 parcels of white substances. They said it wasn’t smooth, and they suspect, which I’m not too sure”, he said.

“But I am monitoring, the big people can’t lie… They were trying to use Tullow Oil name’s to deceive. When people mention Tullow Oil, you have to still check… The reason why I have my suspicions is that anything you have which is not incriminating, you pack it in a box and display it for people to see what you are taking out of the country”, he suggested.

“Why did they put it in a pipes and seal it?”, he asked.

“My source told me the name of the substance… you know me I attended Assin Dompem so pronouncing the name is tough.. meta… metaphormi… metaphemitamine or whatever… MET… That’s what they suspect”, he went on.

“Why is it that if you are taking this bottled water abroad, and you have nothing hidden, why don’t you declare it. Why put it in a pipe and seal it with plywood”, he asked.

Mr Kennedy Agyapong has over the past week been on war path with the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) over the checking of luxury cars belonging to Mr Ibrahim Mahama and his friends which were handled at the Air Cargo company yard run by Marwan Traboulsi.
