The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has revealed what he claims to be the reason for Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng's failed election prediction.

Ahead of the December 7, 2024, general election, Prophet Kusi Boateng prophesied a resounding first-round victory for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.

However, at the conclusion of the polls, the NPP suffered a historic defeat, losing by almost 2 million votes—their heaviest loss ever recorded.

Speaking to his congregation in a video shared on social media, Prophet Badu Kobi disclosed that he entered into a covenant with God to overturn Prophet Kusi Boateng’s election prophecy. Despite the outcome, he described Prophet Kusi Boateng as a genuine man of God.

"God told me He loves Prophet Kusi Boateng. I don’t care what Ghanaians will say about the National Cathedral; that is their matter. I am speaking about God. I love my son; he is so obedient when it comes to doing what must be done. I have given him power—that is why what he says comes to pass. In fact, until 2024, everything he said had been fulfilled. God said, 'I have given him power; that is why his prophecies come to pass. But for this one, I am not giving it to him; I will give it to you.' So, he is not a false prophet. Anyone can speak against him, but what did God say to me about him? 'He is powerful, great, but this is not for him.' That is why he himself said last Sunday that he doesn’t know why it didn’t come to pass."

He continued: "It didn’t happen this time for him. He is a great man of God and is destined for greatness, regardless of what Ghanaians say about him. But God said, 'This is not for you; it is for Badu Kobi.' It is not for those making noise. Some NDC members were working against John Mahama to prevent him from winning, hoping to become the next flagbearer. Who destroyed it? Emmanuel Badu Kobi. I won’t mention names... Pastor, come and see. What is the date? 31st July 2024. Whose name is there? Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng. God just suspended his prophecy for me. It was a covenant."
