A total of 176 applicants for the limited voters registration exercise received their identity cards after two days at Agona West in the Central Region.

Anobil Forson, the Agona West Municipal Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), informed the Ghana News Agency in Swedru on Thursday that the 176 registrants consisted of 97 males and 79 females.

He mentioned that 101 guarantors had vouched for the applicants over the two days, noting that members of the two major political parties—the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), conducted themselves well.

Forson reported no challenges during the exercise's first two days and expressed optimism that it would conclude smoothly. He cautioned under-aged individuals against registering, as it is against the law, and urged political parties to collaborate with the EC to ensure the process's success.

He appealed to the guarantors to abide by the rules and regulations governing guarantorship to avoid prosecution.
