May God kill me if I don’t premiere video of Anas taking $100k bribe - Ken Agyapong

MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong

The turf war between Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central and ace investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas does not appear it may end anytime soon as the lawmaker has moved to the next gear of his threats.

Just when the tension of images he circulated this week purported to be Anas is dying down, the outspoken politician indicated that it was a curtain raiser and that the biggest exposé on the journalist will shock Ghanaians to the marrow.

He vowed to also premiere the video in his possession after June 6 to show the kind of person, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, insisting he does not make allegations in the vacuum.

Mr Agyapong alleges he has a video in which the Anas is reported to have confessed to a state prosecutor of receiving $100,000 bribe wondering why the person seeking equity does not approach equity with clean hands.

According to him, May God struck him dead if he fails to show the said video to Ghanaians maintaining that the approach used by Anas for his undercover investigations smacks of blackmail.

On Kumasi-based Fox FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com, he said, “I will show Anas confessing to a state Attorney that he has taken $100,000 bribe if I don’t show may the living God kill me.”

An angry Kennedy Agyapong said, “Let Anas premiere his (investigative video on the June 6), I will also premiere my video titled “ WHO WATCHES THE WATCHMAN, so he should be ready.

“I will fight till my last breath to prove to the whole world that Anas is corrupt. He is an extortionist, a blackmailer and hardened a criminal. He is also evil and I will prove my point, I have my evidence that which I’ve gathered. The evil that men do lives after them,” he added.

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, however, maintains that the claims made by the lawmaker against the journalists are untenable and mere speculations calling on him and other NPP members to stop the attacks.

“The NPP people who are out there attacking me and attacking Anas they are entitled to that. But they should not underestimate me or Anas or two of us put together. They should never underestimate, they should not underrate us in terms of our capability to defend ourselves and to challenge anybody who says he is a blow man, a Tarzan I don’t mean by friend Tarzan we are ready, willing and capable of standing the pressure and ruling the pressure back,” he warned.
