NDC is sensing defeat in Central Region - Kwamena Duncan

Kwamena Duncan - Central Regional Secretary of the NPPKwamena Duncan - Central Regional Secretary of the NPP

The Central Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Kwamena Duncan, says the developmental projects that the ruling NDC has done and seeks to be preaching about in the region is just a fraction of what they need.

He said those developments in Central region are not about the Komenda Sugar factory, Cape Coast Sports Stadium and Kotokoraba Market as the NDC wants us to believe and that there are cities and many towns in the region where a lot of people live and these places have not seen any developments and improvements in their lives.

Also the people in these towns have their various areas of trade and vocations such as cocoa, fishing, cassava and others that need to be developed and strengthened.

Mr. Duncan made the comments on Atinka FM’s AM Drive Tuesday in an interview with Ekourba Gyasi.

According to the Regional Secretary, the ruling NDC is campaigning with some notion that the people of Central Region would reject them come December 7, 2016; that is why the party is increasing its campaign there.

He said even the Sports Stadium and Komenda Factory are not having direct benefits to the indigenes where these facilities are built.

His explanation is that since the commissioning of the Komenda Sugar Factory about five months ago, the firm has not operated optimally and now seeking for partnership.

Again, Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs being the local team in the metropolis is not using the stadium for their premier league games because the cost of using the stadium is too expensive.
