Entertainment pundit and politician, Kwame Obeng Asare, popularly known as A Plus, has said that no rapper in Ghana can be compared to Sarkodie.
According to him, the work Sarkodie has done in the music industry and how long he has maintained his level of success is tremendous and cannot be compared to any other rapper in the country.
He mentioned that even though Obrafour, Lord Kenya, and other rappers have contributed significantly to the industry, he believes that Sarkodie's achievements surpass all of them, making him stand out.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz hosted by MzGee on July 13, 2024, A Plus indicated that there is no need for Sarkodie to be compared to other rappers.
"Lord Kenya is my brother, and Obrafour's reign and impact on the industry are undeniable. However, Sarkodie's achievements are immense, and no rapper in Ghana has achieved what he has. Nobody comes close.
"It doesn't matter whether there was internet or not. People say that during Obrafour's days, there was no internet, but did Sarkodie invent the internet?" he said in Twi.
This comes after a debate emerged on social media over which rapper in Ghana is the best ever, considering their works.
Some musicians, including Keche Joshua, Okyeame Kwame, and others, believe Sarkodie is the best rapper Ghana has produced, and therefore, there should be no argument.
