Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, says many Ghanaians are trooping to his house to give more evidence on so-called dirty deals involving ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The Assisn Central MP has vowed to strip Anas naked following the latter’s latest investigative piece, “Number 12,” which focuses on corruption in Ghana football.
Agyapong has promised to release a counter- investigative piece, “Who Watches the Watchman,” to expose Anas’ alleged corrupt deals. The much-anticipated video will be screened to the public on Wednesday at the forecourt of Kencity Media at Madina.
Speaking to Accra based Adom FM Tuesday, Mr. Agyapong, who has been invited by Parliament's Privileges Committee over alleged “unparliamentary” conduct, said more Ghanaians are willing to give evidence on the multiple award-winning journalist's dirty conducts.
“Many people are trooping to my house to give me more evidence on Anas. That guy (Anas) is evil and corrupt; I know him inside out and I will expose him,” he charged.
Agyapong has questioned the strategy of Anas, saying the investigative journalist entraps his victims and later blackmail them for huge sums of money.
He repeated his claims that Anas demanded 150,000 dollars from disgraced ex-football chief, Kwesi Nyantakyi, to kill the Number 12 story.
“Nyantakyi couldn’t raise all the money [150,000 bribe] but he managed to offer 100,000. As I speak to you now, the 100,000 dollars is with Anas’ lawyer,” the NPP firebrand claimed.
