President John Mahama has noted that the ruling NDC will embark on an exercise to educate voters, especially women in its efforts to reduce cases of spoilt ballots in the December polls.
Addressing supporters as part of his campaign tour at Kpandai, Wulensi and Bimbilla in the Northern region, the President said over three-hundred thousand spoilt ballots were recorded in the 2012 elections, with majority coming from the North.
“There's no need to panic in the booth while casting your vote. On many occasions when you are given the ballot papers, some voters especially our mothers, have their thumb print crossing the space allocated unto the other, rendering the vote invalid. It is therefore important that we take you through this exercise to ensure that you do the right thing.
