Support centre for Menzgold victims opened by consultant

Menzgold is now operating from its headquarters Menzgold is now operating from its headquarters

Popular security consultant Irbard Ibrahim has started a centre to provide free psychological and financial service to customers of gold-trading firm Menzgold Ghana Limited.

Customers have felt aggrieved since the company’s operations were halted by state agencies, particularly the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Efforts to get their extra values have proven futile.

Most of them have staged demonstrations to demand at least their principals.

A statement issued by the Chief Executive Officer of Irbard Security Consult urged the millions of Menzgold customers to “be at ease with themselves”.

It said a three-level approach will go into the provision of services.

The first will be an introductory briefing session.

The second will be setting up an appointment with a clinical psychologist “to help victims overcome the trauma and early signs of depression they are going through”.

The third will be to meet a financial analyst “to help victims with ideas on how to pick up the pieces and return to financial normalcy after the losses that have been suffered”.

You’re not dumb or greedy!

Most Menzgold customers have been irked by the referral of them by the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, that they are greedy.

In a subtle jab, Mr Ibrahim said, “Having saved with Menzgold doesn’t make you dumb or greedy”.

“Even great minds like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Donald Trump have suffered losses in investments before.

“So please don’t eat yourself up with pain and regrets. Close this sad chapter in your life and open a new one.”

He appealed to them not to consider taking their own lives.

“Please and please, suicide is certainly not a wise option at this critical moment.”

Hitherto, government is in talks with authorities in the United Arab Emirates to have the CEO of Menzgold extradited to Accra for further actions.
