Hundreds of curious Ghanaians from various parts of the country thronged the forecourt of Ken City Media in Accra to view the much anticipated video “Who watches the watchman”, produced by the Assin Central Member of parliament, Kennedy Agyapong in a quest to expose the rot of ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Before the premier of “Who watches the watchman”, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong in a brief interaction with the media said “for my film, I have pieced together several evidence from persons who have encountered a different Anas over the years.”

The video, in Kennedy Agyapong’s own version of secret recordings narrates how Anas operates undercover and also captures the journalist heard and seen negotiating an amount of money in a gold scam case dated way back to September 2009 in an unsecured place in Accra Newtown between one Mubarak and Baba Tunde as bribe to squash those caught on tape in very compromising situations.

According to Mr Ken Agyapong, the video further narrates how Anas Aremeyaw goes to the office of the Prosecutor handling a gold scam case to plan how to skew the case to implicate one Mr. Hafiz Abdalah, CEO for Alfred Security and Touch House, Production who was caught in a gold scam at an amount of $1.9 million in the pretense of providing security to a foreign company during the transfer of gold bought just to forcefully force Mr. Hafiz to pay an amount of $50,000 where those caught on tape could be free.

The motive of the Member of Parliamen is to expose the personality behind the oft-masked Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Comic actor, Kofi Adu alias Agya Koo announced his presence and he's seen throwing his support behind the Member of Parliament during the premiere of the video in a quest to expose alleged underhand dealings of the controversial investigative journalist.

Announcing the date to show the movie last week, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP said that some journalists sponsored their investigative counterpart Anas Aremeyaw Anas to get the former Ghana Football Association President (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi out of his position.

Earlier today, a spokesperson for the Tiger PI Team, Latiff Abubakar, said Mr Kennedy Agyapong is only using the premiere of “Who Watches the Watchman” to woo viewers and listeners to his media houses.

Kennedy Agyapong has been in a series of interviews before the premiere of his video to argue that he is against Anas’ method of investigation and insists that he will do everything to expose the investigative journalist.
