An Okada rider was killed in a fatal accident on the Accra-Kumasi Highway near Star Oil in Suhum, Eastern Region, while three passengers aboard a Sprinter bus were injured.

The crash occurred on Monday, June 10, at about 2:30 pm.

The accident involved a long vehicle truck with the registration number GT 6359-24, traveling from Accra to Kumasi.

The truck suffered a tire burst, leading to a fatal collision after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.

The vehicle ran over the Okada rider, killing him instantly, and also collided with a Sprinter bus with the registration number GC 7652-20, resulting in injuries to three passengers.

The lifeless body of the Okada rider has been transported to the Suhum Government Hospital mortuary.

The injured individuals were receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Police are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause.
