Koku Mawuli Nanegbe, a communicator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is positing that, President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are complicit in the Menzgold brouhaha more than other person.

The communicator for the NDC said going by the DKM principle, government cannot escape from the blame and crisis that has hit the company and customers.

He said in the same way Mahama was blamed for the DKM saga, Nana Addo cannot escape blame for Menzgold.

The decision by government to send a five-member team to Dubai where Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM 1 is being held over an alleged gold deal gone bad, he said is waste of resources and could have been used to defray some of the investments of customers.

He believes there is a national disaster looming and it is the responsibility of government to deal with the matter or resign and hand over to a competent government to deal with the matter.

Mawuli Koku Nanegbe was speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.

He challenged government to deal with the matter because if care is not taken, we may witness a worse situation that would be more disastrous compared to the June 3rd fire and flood disaster.

He is wondering why the governing NPP has not been able to liquidate the property of the embattled CEO.

The government of Nana Addo and Bawumia must show leadership, he added.

On his part, Oliver Ofori Baah, a communicator with the ruling NPP slammed Nanegbe for politicising the issue.

Efforts by government in dealing with the matter he said has been good.

The matter he stressed would be dealt with according to the laws of state.
