This is why sometimes I can't blame Nana Adoo too much for his failure since he came up with the free SHS to allow poor intelligent children get educated as equally as the children of those who could afford education. Akuffo-Addo campaigned on this very issue and, after almost 8 years in office, has just appointed a committee of 5 people to advice on the issue. Unless you have PhD in stupidity, you must know he's doing this ONLY because many people are speaking up, including Dormaahene. Are you blinded by partisanship that you don't see the blatant stealing going on in the country? I don't want to bring tribe into this, but I'm an Ashanti and would classify myself as NPP-sympathizing individual, knowing the history of Rawlings and what he did, including killing a relative of mine during the 1979 revolution. But how do I hold such anger when the corruption Akuffo-Addo's administration has unleashed on the country and the ensuing hardship pale in comparison to what I felt were the wrongs of Rawlings, corruption wise. It reminds me of American politics: Bush was my least favorite president until Trump appeared. I now respect Bush. If Cecilia Dapaa, a low-tiered cabinet member, was caught with all this "stolen" money, your guess is as good as mine what the head honchos have stolen. You think all the monies being dolled out to musicians, actors, and public figures for their endorsement came from the sweat of Akuffo-Addo and Bawumia? The NDC doesn't have clean hands on this very point, too. I don't mean to insult you, but comments like yours anger me immensely. Check the record of Nana Addo's long history in the civil service and see if you can find a single assertion of corruption tag on him. What about Mahama? Maybe you struggle with dementia or selective amnesia so let me remind you a little bit about your demi-god Mahama. I never said anywhere in my post that Ghana's problems are solely due to the NPP. In fact, the problems the country suffers from can be due to that exact political duopoly, namely, the NDC and NPP. Everyone, myself included, felt Akuffo-Addo, whose father occupied the office of the presidency at one point, would be above corruption and would correct all the wrongs of both parties since the advent of our 4th Republic. But what are we seeing? Whatever Mahama said or did with respect to galamsey, that's in the past. Who is the president today? What was the turbidity of River Pra today compared to Mahama's era? What was the state of most of our rivers when Mahama was in power versus Akuffo-Addo?

If you bought a house with a history of terrible ownership and, say, something were to happen to you or a relative due to a problem with the house that you have known since ownership, what would any reasonable person say: that you should blame the previous owner? Or, why didn't you fix it since you've been aware of the problem since ownership?

I don't know how old you are and your proclivity for logic and sound thinking; however, I'm inclined to believe that we are both Ghanaians. We are Ghanaians first, remember that. Everything else is seconday.

These politicians steal enough to take care of their relatives for generations. Everybody else can go to hell. That isn't the thinking among the leadership of the West where I'm ensconced, at least not to the same disgusting degree. Mahama's brother was a nobody before Mahama became president. Today, he's counted among the wealthiest in Ghana. I can say the same about every single president we've had.

In case you forgot the gist of the article we are responding to, this preacher observed that the Christian and Peace councils were very vocal against corruption and economic pillage when NDC was in power but are silent today, even though the same or worse is ongoing under this administration. He didn't single out a single party. Neither did I.
