You are very right. Telephones that are charging can overheat. I have had a practical experience so I don’t charge my Phone when I am sleeping. In Uncle Sam’s country, most of the Phones that they use STOP CHARGING THE MOMENT THAT THEY START TO OVERHEAT AND CANNOT CHARGE AGAIN UNTIL IT COOLS DOWN ANT THE COOLING FLUID IN IT ALSO COOLS DOWN.
The Government Should try to ban the use of poor used Second Hand Cheap Phones from being sold in Ghana. This can be difficult for the Government to do so it needs education and cooperation from the various selling associations.
In working places and schools, there should be Charging Stations where they can be done and monitored.
