The christian council of Ghana has come out of what they believe should happen in the governance of the contry and had dialated on all socio-economic levels of the country which looks like another national constitution .The submission looks very good but the question is, who is going to stand up to supperintend on all these provisions which can be helpful to the Nation when they are put to implementation, and not until chistian council intitutes a mechanism where they are seen to beef up our precarious situation in the country, it will be seen as another research center which findings are not taken seriously.

They CC of Ghana are just repeating what we already have in our system. I think they should concentrate on religious matters for now as that area alone has enormous issues beaconing the failures of CC of Ghana and the church leadership in general. We shall appreciate their efforts if they see to 'clean up the mess' themselves have in greater extent created in God's house.
More so, they tabulated items without any research and scientific proofs why those items even though look appealing to senses would actually work.
I'm afraid government is asked to implement some of the issues they raised 'based on faith' because they the CC of Ghana can admit themselves that they have no idea how their ideas can be implemented other than by FAITH.
Anyway, good talkshow or writing shop from CC of Ghana, kind of exhibition of faith to resurrect dead government from years of hopelessness.

So, where the heck did the issue of marijuana legalization came from? Are we still taking things from the West/USA on a wholesale basis without filtering them? Why aren't we if anything at all take the "good" ones and leave the 'bad' ones. Are we really emancipated/independent?
ARISE BLACK/GHANA MAN or else you will be doomed.
The resources that USA have to combat the evil or side effect of certain lifestyles they have adopted Ghana/Africa doesn't have 1% of it especially when we struggling just to put food on the table.

I agree with almost everything in your comments except the smoking bit. There is a lot of misconception about weed. Obviously too much of anything is bad but in reasonable amounts its ok or sometimes even good. Weed was made illegal in the first place by the west and they gave us cigarettes instead. Like you said we should pick the good bits and leave out the bad bits. The church said legalising it will make the fight against the trade difficult. On the contrary, it rather removes the criminals from the trade and turn it into a crimeless business, just like selling tomato. Spirits gives more metal problems than weed. Rawlings already had madness in his blood so dont blame his madness on his weed smoking.Look at Akufo Addo, he is such a fine gentleman. NO HARM DONE THERE.There are doctors, lawyers, teachers and people from all works of life who quitely enjoy this herb without disturbing anybody.lets think deeply about this.

They should help to uplift the image by helping to see the positive aspect og marijuana and not the negative aspåect that marijuana makes People crazy other than that the half of the Jamaican populace have gone MAD.

They have bigger churches, bigger pastors and men of God and are far more developed than our mother Ghana but still they legalised marijuana and they know the good use of it. Don't sit down and say whatever you like. Make research and see how important marijuana is.We learn from those who have made it.IT is better to legalise than to criticise. AMEN

I personally thank and appreciate the effort of CC and other such 'mindful of the people' religious groups. It is my fervent hope that these points that have been catalogued should not remain on paper but vigorously be pursued and engage with those that need to. It is always good to start somewhere and continue from there.
More emphasis should be laid on the need for Pastors (our religious leaders) to learn, as a matter of fact, how to live a life of modesty and simplicity. Too often, many tend to live too much affluent life. They tend to be more materialistic than religious. God bless Ghana.
