Ghana defender Alexander Djiku has shared his excitement after Fenerbahce got off to a winning start in the Turkish Super Lig.
The Turkish giants recovered from their midweek defeat to Lille to beat Adana Demirspor 1-0 and collect all three points in the season opener.
Former Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko netted the winner in the first half after receiving a clever pass from summer signing Allan Saint-Maximin.
"Three points. We keep going. Thank you for all supporters. Fenerbahce," he wrote after the game.
Djiku started and lasted the entire duration of the match, having played a cameo role in the UEFA Champions League qualifier against Lille last Tuesday.
The defender, who turned 30 last week, has been a key figure for the Turkish outfit since joining the club last summer from Racing Club Strasbourg.
Fenerbahce will host Lille on Wednesday in the second leg of their UCL qualifiers as they eye a place in the group stage of the competition.
