Head coach of Bechem United, Bismark Mensah says he is astonished that Ghanaian referees were captured in the Anas Number 12 video.
The exposé which was aired on Wednesday and Thursday at the Accra International Conference Centre revealed the rot and corruption surrounding the football Governing body highlighted how referees, the association that appoints the referees, National Sports Authority, up to the higher office of the presidency involved themselves in shady deals to manipulate the outcome of matches and events of the game loved so much by Ghanaians.
"For me, I wasn't surprised, I know these things, especially referees deciding the results of the game, I have been a victim in my entire coaching career' the former Nzema Kotoko coach told Footballmadeinghana.
'This season for instance, when we went to Techiman for a regional derby, a ball did not hit the hands of our captain Daniel Agyin which was so clear, but the referee whistled for a penalty, we have suffered so much as players and as coaches,' he added.
"Some coaches even lost their jobs because of poor officiating, so for that area, I'm not surprised, I know for sure more will come.' He added.
