Cercle Brugge has officially secured the signing of Ghanaian youngster Lawrence Agyekum from Red Bull Salzburg on loan with an option to buy, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The talented Ghanaian midfielder, a product of WAFA's esteemed academy, has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him don the Cercle colors for the foreseeable future.

The completion of the deal marks a significant coup for the Belgian outfit, which has beaten off competition from other suitors to land the highly-rated Agyekum.

The 21-year-old has already shown glimpses of his immense potential during his time at Red Bull, and Cercle Brugge will be eager to harness his skills as they bid to make a mark in the Belgian top flight.

He spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Liefering, where he played 14 matches, scored once, and provided one assist in the process.

Agyekum made three appearances for Red Bull when they clinched the Austrian Bundesliga title in the 2022-23 season.
