Ghana not resting after Egypt scalp – Appiah

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has stated that the Black Stars will not rest on their laurels after a 6-1 battering of Egypt in the first-leg play-off for the 2014 World Cup.

A very modest Appiah said it is not a done deal yet for the four-time Africa champions because the Pharaohs can be unpredictable.

“Egypt are a very good side. In the first half they did well. Anything can happen so we are not resting, camping and serious work for the game in Egypt starts tomorrow,” Appiah stated after the game.

“The media played a very big role in this game as they helped us to get more support which was very vital.”

Ghana will play away to the Egyptians on November 19 as the west Africans seek to complete a double over the former African champions for a third successive World Cup appearance.
