Former Ghana goalkeeper Sammy Adjei says he could become the next President of the Ghana FA.
The 37-year-old is yet to announce his retirement from football despite being clubless for over three years.
The Ghana FA has been without a President since the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi who was hit with a corruption scandal in a documentary produced by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Adjei who was part of the Black Stars squad that played at the 2006 World Cup in Germany is now putting himself out as a possible candidate for the vacant GFA Presidency.
“I could easily become the next GFA President,” he told Asempa FM.
“If God wills me to be GFA President I will be. But I know I am very capable.”
Elections for the next Ghana FA Executive Committee and President will be held next year when the Normalization Committee set up by FIFA concludes its work.
