Ghanaian forwards Kwasi Poku and Nana Ampomah led the charge in Forge FC's commanding 3-0 victory over HFX Wanderers FC in the Canadian Premier League.
The match, held at Tim Hortons Field, saw both players deliver standout performances, lasting the full 90 minutes.
Poku opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a left-footed shot from close range, assisted by David Choinière. He struck again in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a set piece to double Forge FC's lead. Ampomah added to the tally in the 69th minute with a stunning right-footed shot from outside the box, assisted by Choinière following a fast break.
The win extends Forge FC's head-to-head record against HFX Wanderers to nine wins, four losses, and nine draws. Poku has been a formidable force this season, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 15 games. Meanwhile, Ampomah, with five games under his belt, has scored once and assisted one goal.
