Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris lived up to his recent form with another goal to help Lorient beat Metz 5-1 in the French top flight.
The goal was the former Right to Dream Academy player's 9th in a season that has been tumultuous for Lorient.
But Waris who has vowed to help the club mastermind one of the greatest escape plan in French football history responded with yet another fabulous goal at the Estadio du Moustoir.
Michael Ciani gave Lorient the lead before Chiek Diabate pulled parity for the away side.
But Waris who was very lively in the game dragged his side back into the lead on the 55th minute.
Jimmy Cabot who without a doubt was named man-of-the-match added two goals before Cameroon star Benjamin Moukandjo added a seal to make it 5-1 and most importantly bag all three points on the day.
The win moves Lorient out of the relegation zone for the first time in seven months, placing them on 16th position on the league table with 34 points and with 5 games to end the season.
