Ghanaian striker Raymond Anokye Asante has joined Belgian club Charleroi on a season-long loan from Udinese.

Asante will be part of the squad for their second league game in this season’s Belgian Pro League against St. Truidense on Friday evening after completing the transfer.

The forward was instrumental in Udinese's U19 team last season, scoring 21 goals and providing 12 assists as they secured promotion to Primavera 1.

Asante was also registered as a first-team player for Udinese and made his debut in a friendly against Padova in March.

This move to Charleroi presents Asante with an opportunity to test himself in the top flight and prove his worth on a bigger stage.

Depending on his performance, Asante could either convince Udinese to hand him first-team opportunities or persuade Charleroi to sign him permanently.
