Sumaila: We must beat Egypt convincingly

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila says it is imperative for the Black Stars to beat Egypt convincingly in the 2014 WC qualifying play-off against Egypt.

Ghana will take on Egypt in the first leg on October 15 before traveling to North Africa to face off with the seven-time African champions in the return leg in Cairo on November 19.

"We have to record a convincing win in Kumasi in order to make the return leg a mere formality" Sumaila accentuated.

The 20-year-old also added that he is ready for a starting role if called upon as the Black Stars are without regular central defenders Isaac Vorsah, Jonathan Mensah and John Boye.

"I am really prepared and poised up for this game, my confidence level is very high," Sumaila told Goal Ghana.
