West Ham United have reportedly engaged Mohammed Kudus' entourage to reassure them following controversies with head coach Julien Lopetegui.
According to The Athletic, the club hierarchy has informed the player's entourage there is no tension between Kudus and Lopetegui and that the incident that occurred between the two parties has been exaggerated.
Kudus reportedly clashed with the manager, expressing his dissatisfaction for subbing him off at halftime during their one-all draw against Brentford on September 28, 2024.
The Athletic states that the manager had a frank exchange with the Ghanaian, criticising him for a poor performance, which was deemed unfair on the part of the player.
However, the issue was resolved as Kudus joined his teammates on the bench to watch the rest of the game.
While explaining the Kudus' controversial substitution, the Spanish gaffer said it was a tactical decision and was in the team's best interest.
"It was a tactical decision. I was thinking we needed that. I was thinking that was better for the team and we needed these kinds of changes. The second half we worked as a team," Lopetegui explained after the match.
