The Ghana Athletics Association?s plans to fly to Germany for the final phase of preparations for Athens have been disrupted a snag as a result of the current predicament of national carrier, Ghana Airways.
The team, originally scheduled to have left this week, has had to postpone the trip following flight changes by Ghana Airways.
The team now hopes to leave Accra latest Tuesday.
Chief Athletics coach, S.S Atuahene, will lead the team of five local athletes to Germany where they will team up with their foreign-based counterparts for some trial championships before moving to Athens.
He was hoping to have at least two weeks of intensive training and competition with the full team before leaving for Athens.
Samuel Adade, Clement Agyemang, Aisha Pinamang, Gifty Addy and Mercy Tabiri will seek to taste international action in the event that any of the foreign-based athletes fail to impress in Germany.
The Olympic Games begin on August 11.
