THE GHANA Athletics Association (GAA) has launched a sponsorship drive to solicit ?4.1 billion to finance its programmes, over the next couple of months. The amount is required to finance the GAA?s programmes which include training of coaches, to unearth hidden talents in all parts of the country, train and groom them for both internal and international competitions.
It will also enable the association to improve on existing athletics facilities to meet international standards and hence improve on Ghana?s performance on the international scene for more laurels.
A statement signed by Mr. Hamah Hamid Issakah, head of public relations of the National Sports Council (NSC), entreated all corporate bodies, institutions and individuals to avail themselves at the function, so as to contribute their quota towards the development of Ghana?s athletics.
