The National Paralympic Committee (NPC), has been handed 25 slots in Ghana's contingent for the 2015 All Africa Games (AAG) in Congo.
The NPC, which supervises disability sports in Ghana, will have the opportunity to present 15 male athletes and 10 female athletes for the Pan African sports festival.
Information gathered from the secretariat of the NPC said, the 25-member contingent will also have four coaches and two team officials.
Ghana's para team has been one of the disciplines that have won more medals in the AAG and they are expected to improve on their performance in the continental event.
The NPC is expected to hold trials for athletes at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to screen athletes for selection into the national team.
The two day trial will see athletes from other part of the country seeking to make a case for selection into the national team.
Cornelius Adjah-Coffie President of the NPC told the GNA Sports that, their major aim was to improve upon their previous performance and also seek qualification to the Paralympic Games.
He said some of the athletes who will be able to make a good time at the competition will have the opportunity to book a place at the Paralympic Games in Brazil next year.
