President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged chiefs and imams across the country to continue praying for him.
He believes that this is the time when both he and the entire country need their prayers the most, considering the task ahead.
Speaking to the Yagbonwura, John Dramani Mahama emphasized the importance of continued prayers, stating:
"I have appealed to him, our chiefs, and our imams not to stop praying. They should continue praying. This is the time we need prayers the most so that we can look after Ghana.
"We all know our economy is in crisis, and there is hardship in the land. We must work hard to turn our fortunes around and create prosperity and dignity for all the people of Ghana," he said.
He further expressed his hope that God would grant him the sense of discernment needed to select the right individuals to govern with and to foster economic prosperity for the people of Ghana.
