Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng says it is not easy working for the ignorant and the ungrateful.
According to him, Ghana is not worth dying for.
“Ghana is not worth dying for because it is not easy working for the ignorant and the ungrateful,” he said.
Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng in recent times has been accused of being neck-deep in illegal mining- a social menace his ministry was charged to eradicate.
He was accused of collaborating with a former NPP Central Regional Chairman, Ekow Awusi, to sell off ceased excavators to party members.
In an investigative piece by Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Prof Boateng was implicated for aiding party members to engage in illegal mining, an allegation he has vehemently denied.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) called for his arrest and subsequent incarceration.
Prof. Frimpong Boateng expressing his views on Ghana and how he’s been unfairly treated as minister in-charge of fighting illegal mining (galamsey) in a yet-to-be-aired ‘KSM show’ said “It’s not worth sacrificing for Ghana".
Prof. Frimpong Boateng is a successful cardiothoracic surgeon, the first to have performed open-heart surgery in Ghana using the heart-lung-machine.
