Zylofon Media has denied reports it seeks to “tame” Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, saying it will be a mistake to try to do so.

Samuel Atuobi Baah, Head of Communications for Zylofon Media told Suncity FM in Sunyani, the imprint accepted the challenge to manage Wale in spite of how controversial he is.

“I am not sure what we have to do is to tame him. Over the years what he does have made him who he is now. It will be a mistake at the moment that you try to tame him. We have accepted the task to manage him. He has also agreed and accepted that we have the power to control what he does as a management company,” explained Baah.

“The work would be done and Shatta Wale will still be Shatta Wale. He is not going to change. He is Shatta Wale that is why we even went for him. It won’t be in a negative way but it is something that will help the industry.”

He also added that differences between Wale and his former manager, BullDog, who will be his new manager at Zylofon has already been settled.
