Renowned Kumasi-based Gospel artiste Jack Alolome has openly endorsed the second bid of President John Mahama in the upcoming general elections.
The ‘God will make a way’ hitmaker made his declaration during the National Democratic Congress’ Western region campaign taskforce launch Sunday.
Many of the supporters of the governing party who were gathered at Bonzo Kaku School park at Ewiebo in the Ellembelle constituency expressed shock and joy.
Jack Alolome told the teeming crowd that God has already declared President John Mahama and his NDC winners of the December 7 elections, GHOne TV News correspondent Ohene Gyan reports.
The declaration by the musician who made the headlines in June 2015 with his ‘I will never sing for churches for free’ comments may come as a surprise as he had previously shown his affinity to the main opposition group, the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Alolome was in his NPP elements during a fundraising event by the party at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on January 16, 2016. Dressed in white with an NPP scarf muffler around his neck, the gospel musician, performed to a specially composed track titled ‘Mahama b3 ko’ with the literal meaning ‘Mahama will go’.
