ANOTHER HALF-EDUCATED GUY. ALTERNATIVE GOVERNMENT MODELS WILL NEVER CHANGE THE NAKED CORRUPTION-CHARGED NARRATIVE ABOUT AFRICA'S REDUNDANT USELESS, EASY-AFFLUENCE-SEEKING LEADERS WHOSE ONLY AIM IS TO ENRICH THEMSELVES AT THE EXPENSE OF THE POOR HIGHLY INDEBTED SUFFERING MASSES.
A MINDSET OF PASSIONATE MODERN DEVELOPMENT AND HARDWORKING MORAL LEADERSHIP MODELS ARE WHAT WILL DISPEL THE NOTION OF AFRICA BEING A CONTINENT OF APELIKE PRIMITIVE LEADERS NOT REPARED TO THINK, PLAN, AND IMPLEMENT TRAIL-BLAZING PROGRAMMES LIKE NORMAL HUMAN LEADERS DO IN OTHER CONTINENTS OR GEOGRAPHICAL REGIONS.
UNTIL THEN, AFRICA WILL CONTINUE TO BE REGARDED AS AN ANIMAL KINGDOM WITH PONZI STYLE OF BANKRUPT, HIGHLY TAXED, AND IRRESPONSIBLE DEBT-RIDDLED ECONOMIES.
THAT'S WHY TRUMP APTLY SAID AFRICA IS A SHITHOLE.

What is the meaning of "Is democracy failing Africa"? Africa is the second largest continent on the planet consisting of 54 countries, and these countries are not under the same form of government. While some are making in-roads into developing their countries, we in Ghana, are thinking otherwise.
Look at countries like Mauritius and Seychelles, are they not part of Africa, so why are their economies vibrant while we are willfully inviting the Chinese to come and destroy our environment with galamsey?
Trust me, Ghana is what it is due to our stinking attitude and mindset because any human with bad attitude and mindset never done anything positive to impact him/herself.

Democracy is good as economic development is not only what a nation should strive to attain. The human rights and freedoms that come with democracy are good. China and the other countries you mention dont enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy here even amidst our poverty and economic struggles. African problem is ethnicity and corruption. One ethnic group takes over and thinks the resources belongs to them. The leaders dont create opportunities for all but for a select few. The roads to their towns, villages is all interest them. Democracy is necessary but not sufficient for economic transformation.

I simply recommend you to read a book called: "Why Nations fails" then you will stop praising people like Paul Kagame, and Generals who are doing coup d'etats. My opinion is: Give people space and they will flourish. We need inclusive economy(china, russia, and North K. do too!) but real democracy we need inclusive economy which African Nations found hard to accept because we are conservative and prefer the evil we know than let people get on with their own experience.
