Twenty-four presidential candidates have successfully filed and submitted their nomination forms to the Electoral Commission, meeting the deadline on September 13, 2024.
They are now awaiting their fates as the EC begins vetting the applications to confirm whether all legal requirements have been met.
Out of the initially reported 39 aspirants who obtained passcodes to fill and file their presidential nomination forms, 11 independent candidates did not submit theirs by the deadline, thereby disqualifying themselves from the race.
