Despite being disqualified by the Electoral Commission (EC) on Friday, September 20, 2024, the flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, insists he will be the next President of Ghana.

He hinted that the reasons for his disqualification will be resolved, and he is certain to be on the ballot for the 2024 polls and subsequently become the next President of Ghana.

According to him, the reasons for his disqualification are vague, and he suspects it is a deliberate ploy by some faceless persons to get him off the polls.

But he assured whoever is behind the disqualification to bear in mind that the agenda has fallen flat.

“I will be the next President of Ghana, where everyone will be born rich. My policies and programmes will ensure that every Ghanaian is born with wealth from our natural resources like cocoa, gold, and more.

"My presidency will ensure that Ghanaian languages are used in teaching children in our schools,” he disclosed.

It will be recalled that Bernard Mornah’s name was missing from the final list of presidential candidates who filed their nominations with the Electoral Commission.

The Commission, in a statement, indicated that 13 persons have qualified to contest the 2024 presidential elections after thoroughly scrutinizing their nomination forms.

“Following the successful conduct of the Filing of Nominations from the 9th of September to the 13th of September 2024, the Commission instituted a thorough examination of the Nomination Forms submitted by the Candidates to ensure conformity with the requirements as set out in law.

“The Electoral Commission wishes to inform the General Public that the following persons have successfully gone through the Nomination process and qualify to contest as Candidates in the 2024 Presidential Election,” the Electoral Commission said in a press release on Friday, September 20.

The qualified persons, according to the Commission, will ballot for a place on the ballot paper today, September 20, 2024.

However, Bernard Mornah, who said he was going to beat the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with swag, was missing from the list.
