Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has criticised former President John Dramani Mahama over a comment he made about the people of Nzema in the Western Region.
During a campaign tour in the region, Mahama made a comment about the backside of the people of Nzema.
Mahama was approached by a man who had dressed like a woman and padded his buttocks with rags during an interaction session with the people of Jomoro.
Mahama, who was surprised to see the man, called him to shake his hand and said, “Is he a man or a woman? Ay3 Zu… leave him, he is a supporter, come and shake me… very good. God is alive. When you entered, I thought you were a lady, but when I saw your beard, I realised... So, that means when it comes to buttocks, it’s about Nzema people. You see, he has put things on his buttocks; he wants to be like his MP.”
The MP for the Jomoro Constituency, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, is widely known for her curvaceous figure.
Responding to Mahama’s comment in a series of posts on X on September 22, 2024, Anyidoho called out Mahama, asserting that his comment was disrespectful.
“In as much as I am concerned about the current economic climate, I am more concerned about how John Mahama is consciously destroying my NDC. How can a former President speak this way? Damn!”
He added, “I’ve finally given up on John Mahama as the Leader of my NDC. What is this? I am very disappointed and sad.”
“What does this mean? I am shocked.”
