NDC’s Moses Bukari-Mabengba has been sworn in as 2nd National Vice Chairman of the party in Accra today.

He served as District Chief Executive (DCE), Member of Parliament (MP), Deputy Minister, Minister and an ambassador spanning 21 years of his entire political career

Mr Mabengba who was the former Head of Mathematics Department of University of Education, Winneba ‘slugged’ it out with Sofo Awudu Azorka at the recently held NDC congress to occupy the current National Vice Chairman position

Meanwhile, NDC’s National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo who swore into office Mr Mabengba today at the party’s headquarters described him as a man who has “seen it all” in aspects of legislature, executive and diplomacy.

“We felt that with his wide experience in the executive, legislature and diplomatic fields, he’ll be a worthy representative to occupy one of the positions as national vice chairman. We were appointed and sworn in at Trade Fair, LA, where we held the national congress. But once his appointment has been confirmed through NEC, in consultation with the council of elders and major stakeholders, we felt we must swear him in today”. He established.

The newly sworn in National vice Chariman accepted and thanked the National executives for the confidence reposed in him and gave the assurance that he would bring integrity, honesty and accomplishment to bear on his work.

He stressed on the need to pay attention to the people of North-Eastern Corridor and the number of development challenges facing the area.

He added, there’s the need for the NDC to make further plans to address those developmental needs so their rival (NPP) won’t ‘beat them to it’ and as a result win the people’s trust.

“If you do as we suggest, not only to target the Kokomba’s but the eastern corridor people, you’ll see the changes. Because originally, rural people like social democracy, so they like the NDC but because we are not doing things they are expecting, our brothers from the NPP will just see our weakness and start collecting them in our favour”. Mabengba stated
